Need to know a little bit more about your portrait and its process? The following questions and answers may be helpful.

I don’t have any suitable photos, is it possible you can take them of my pet?

The artist is more than happy to meet you and your pet and arrange a photography session. All travel costs incurred are added to the order.

More then one pet?

For a second animal in the same artwork, please add 40% to the listed price; third animal, please add 70% to the listed price. If more than 3 please contact the artist for an individual quote for your animal portrait.

I would like multiple pets in the one drawing but don’t have a suitable photo with them all together.

No problem, the artist will arrange the composition from the individual photos you provide.

Do you do coloured drawings or oil paintings?

No, the artist works in a signature style black and white consisting of graphite, charcoal, pencil and ink.

What do you draw on?

The artist uses a 300gsm high quality, smooth, acid-free canford card or the best possible alternative, ideal for drawing your pet.

How long will my artwork take?

Generally, the artwork will take approximately 4 – 6 weeks depending on the number of existing commissions. Additional factors that can delay completion include the size commissioned, multiple pets, and whether it is a full body drawing. If you need the portrait for a particular date - for example a birthday, wedding or Christmas present - please inform the artist before ordering.

Do you frame the artwork?

Generally no, as the drawings are posted to you rolled in a solid protected tube. If you are in London framing can be arranged by the artist with a recommended local framer. All incurred costs will be added to the order at completion.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required for the artist the commence the artwork and secure a place in the artist’s schedule.

How do I pay?

The preferred method of payment is Paypal, a secure online payment facility. Alternative forms of payment, including cheque and bank wire transfer are available, if you are unable to access Paypal. The balance is due once you have viewed and approved an emailed preview of the artwork.

Is there a cost for shipping?

Packaging and postage is £10 and will be delivered rolled in a solid protected tube by special delivery, including insurance.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes, a gift voucher is the ideal present if you are unable to get access to the photos of the pet. The recipient can then arrange their drawing with the artist at their own time.
